"My painting practice takes the human body as its point of departure, investigating its capacity for change and adaptation. Drawing on classical sculpture, mythology, and contemporary visual culture, I use the figure as a site of transformation. My work has been described as both fragmented and fluid, inhabiting the tension between these states. Moving beyond classical figuration, I reimagine the body as an adaptable, evolving form that reflects life in a technology-driven world, suspended between physical and digital existence.

Combining traditional oil painting with digital processes such as 3D scanning and digital collage, I construct layered pictorial spaces that explore line, form, and figuration. I am interested in the dialogue between precision and intuition, where rhythm, fragmentation, and gesture shape the image. My work draws equally from the pathos of Italian Baroque painting and the shared experiences of everyday life, responding to the uncertainty and constant transformation of the contemporary world.

My most recent body of work centres on the metamorphosis of the figure. Inspired by stories of desire, transformation, and the courage to pursue one's aspirations despite uncertainty, it draws on Ovid's Metamorphoses as a framework for exploring pursuit, consequence, and change. Working exclusively with sepia and solvent on a white ground, I allow each painting to retain traces of its own making—from the initial idea and gestural sketch to the gradual construction and dissolution of the image."
